The Remarkable Story of Sister Jean and an NCAA Fairytale

a Documentary Film

About the Film

In 2018, the world was introduced to a lovable 98-year-old nun from Chicago who, with her courtside smile and unshakable spirit, became an unlikely icon of college basketball. As the Loyola Ramblers ascended the NCAA tournament in their legendary Cinderella run, Sister Jean stood beside them as a symbol of the teamwork culture and underdog spirit that would define them.

But The Cinderella Nun is about more than basketball.

It’s about the mentors and teachers who awaken in us our ability to dream - and the courage to pursue those dreams.

For more than eighty years, Sister Jean quietly guided lives as an educator, chaplain, and mentor, helping countless people discover a belief in themselves - to never give up, even when the odds are stacked against them.
